About Me Nature's Play
Martha Kenna Nature's Play

Hi, I'm Martha – a proud mother of three boys and the founder of Nature's Play. Since September 2022, I’ve been on a mission to bring children closer to nature through all-weather outdoor play and learning experiences. At Nature's Play, we believe in the incredible benefits of outdoor exploration for young minds. There’s no better classroom than the great outdoors, and we’re here to provide your child with the opportunity to learn through play, discover new things, and connect with the world around them.

Research shows that spending time outdoors enhances creativity, boosts physical health, and supports emotional well-being. By embracing nature and play-based learning, children develop essential life skills such as problem-solving, resilience, and social interaction – all while having fun! Whether it's splashing in puddles, climbing trees, or discovering new creatures, we know the outdoors is the best place for children to grow.

In the coming months, I’m excited to expand our offerings with Forest School and Home Education sessions, designed to create a hands-on, immersive learning environment for children. These sessions will nurture curiosity and foster a deeper connection with the natural world.

We also offer bespoke outdoor parties where children can celebrate with adventure, exploration, and fun in the fresh air – making memories that will last a lifetime.

At Nature's Play, we are passionate about getting children outside, active, and engaged. Join us on our journey of discovery, and let’s play, learn, and grow together!

As it is a natural environment parts of the ground are uneven and is best suited to walking toddlers, however some of the stations are suitable for older babies with parent supervision. All under 5’s are welcome to come and enjoy the fun at Nature’s Play!

The sessions run all year round so it’s important to arrive in appropriate clothing and remember, we will get messy so you might want to bring spare clothes for after the session! When we have had excessive rain, the path to the site can get particularly wet and muddy - wellies are highly recommended! It is stay and play, a parent/guardian is required to supervise children at all times. Lastly, due to the site being deep in the woods, the warmer weather brings the midges out! If you're prone to bites, please prepare with repellent.
