Nature's Play - Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is the area accessible with a pushchair?
When the weather has been dry, the path and site is ok for a pushchair. However, when there has been a lot of rain, it can get quite muddy leading to the site and is difficult to get pushchairs along.
  • Do sessions run during school holidays and in the winter?
Yes, sessions run all year round (weather dependent). Sessions may be cancelled in extreme weathers, if this is the case messages will be sent in advance. However the site is mostly sheltered and the rain shouldn't stop play!
  • Do you offer a sibling discount?
Yes, there is 50% discount for siblings, please add the code 'SIBLING' for weekdays and 'SIBLING2' for weekends.
  • Can I just turn up on the day?
If the session has spaces available, you will be able to pay cash on entrance. It is advisable to book online before the session.
  • What should my child wear?
Clothing must be appropriate to the weather, also clothing that you don’t mind getting messy in. The site can get muddy so wellies are recommended when it’s been raining. As it’s likely there will be mess, it may be worth bringing spare clothes for children to change into after the session.
  • Are there any toilet facilities?
Unfortunately there aren't toilets on site.
  • Can I cancel my booking?
Due to running costs refunds aren’t available, if you’re unable to make the booked session please get in touch as soon as possible so we can try to transfer the booking.
  • What age are the sessions suitable for?
Due to the uneven ground, the sessions are best for confident walkers. However there are activities that babies can enjoy with parent's support.
  • Is there parking?
Yes, go down the road towards Scraptoft Hill Farm and there is a track to the left, please park at the end of this track (please see the map at the bottom). There is also overflow parking behind the barns at the farm, this does mean there is a further walk to get to the woods (roughly 10 minutes up the hill). This is temporary parking with a more permanent plan coming in 2024.
  • Can I bring a dog?
Dogs are not permitted on the site.
